President

Mikael Solberg has extensive and solid experience of operating and acquiring companies within many industries. As early as 1980, while studying in the United States, Mikael formed a wholesale company that sold ready-made clothing, such as jeans and jackets that were made in the US. This operation expanded and comprised wholesale activities in 11 countries when it was sold in 1987. After having successfully built up and sold his wholesale company, Mikael became active in the real estate sector and started to acquire and manage properties. In 1990, Mikael entered into partnership with Jan Carlzon, currently a member of the RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS Board of Directors, and together with Karl Stockman AB they formed a venture capital company in which Mikael served as president. In 1994, Mikael became a partner in the private equity company Ledstiernan, which was introduced to the stock market in 2000. In 1996, Mikael acquired an interest in Polarn O. Pyret, a business area in today’s RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS. Mikael Solberg was employed as Working Chairman of the RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS Board in 2002, prior to being appointed President and CEO of the company in 2003.

Group Executive Management

The President and other members of Group Executive Management meet once each third month to review sales and earnings trends, update forecasts and discuss the future and strategy. RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS’ corporate management comprises eight persons, five of whom are women.
