Eco-labelled clothing

Working on environmental issues in all parts of our business activities is important. Chemicals restrictions and requirements must be fulfilled when RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS’ proprietary products are manufactured. Certain products are also required to meet the demands imposed by external sources throughout the production chain. These include Polarn O. Pyret’s products, which consist of Nordic Swan labeled clothing, clothes made of ecological cotton and recycled polyester and fleece. The range of products sold by Brothers includes shirts that carry the Green Effort label.

The Nordic Swan label makes it easy for customers to make conscious environmental choices. When choosing Nordic Swan-labeled clothing, you as the customer know that the raw material is organically cultivated and preparation of the garment was implemented under conditions that are controlled in consideration of the environment. All chemicals and colors used in the products are analyzed and approved, and emissions of water and air during production are controlled and limited. The garment must also comply with specific quality demands and may not contain any residues of substances that are harmful to health or the environment. To be labeled with the Nordic Swan, stringent environmental requirements must be satisfied ranging from cotton cultivation to the finished garment.

Organic fiber

An organic garment means the fiber, cotton, for example, has been grown in compliance with organic methods. Organic cultivation does not permit the use of chemical insecticides or fertilizers.

Recycled polyester and fleece

Recycled polyester and fleece is produced from PET bottles and production waste from the textile industry to replace oil that is otherwise used as one of the raw materials in fleece and polyester.

Green Effort

Clothing that carries the Green Effort label is produced with organic cotton and meets stringent environmental demands throughout the preparation process up to the finished garment.
