Sponsorship and charity
RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS’ sponsorship policy
This policy comprises all companies within the RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS Group and stores operated centrally and through franchise agreements.
RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS’ aim for its sponsorship and charitable activities is to contribute to a favorable trend in society. Sponsorship is defined as activities that involve the payment of financial support from companies within the RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS Group and for which some form of counter-performance is expected from the receiving party. Cases where financial support alone is paid without the need for counter-performance are regarded as charity.
Operations that RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS sponsors or supports through charity:
- Operations or organizations that can report how the support is used.
- Operations or organizations that support cultural, sporting, humanitarian or environmental issues in the local community or globally.
- Operations that locally or globally are connected to RNB’s customer group or operations.
Operations that RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS does not sponsor or support for charitable purposes are:
- Private individuals.
- Operations with a political or religious message. Humanitarian foreign assistance arranged by religious organizations is an exception.
- Operations that result in environmental pollution, segregation or that can be perceived as offensive or discriminatory for private individuals or ethnic groups.
Sponsorship or contributions to charity are based on:
- Written agreements, in which the contractual period is specified and that include details of responsibilities, purpose, objectives and expectations.
- Internal evaluation through an annual follow-up.
- All decisions concerning sponsorship within the RNB RETAIL AND BRANDS Group must be rooted in and decided by the management group and be documented in a written protocol. Individual franchisees may decide for themselves using this policy as the basis.
